Two Avenues Online students, Carter and Tucker (@the2woodies), recently broke records to become the youngest junior boys to ever compete at a USA Curling National Championship. These dynamic 11-year-old twin brothers represented the Mountain Pacific region in the U18 division held at Rock Creek Curling in Lafayette, CO in January, 2023.
In addition to being keen curlers, Carter and Tucker are also entrepreneurs. In summer 2022, they starred in two commercials for the street safety campaign of Onstar, a subsidiary of General Motors that provides in-vehicle safety and security services. Tucker and Carter have also worked closely with their friend Malala Yousafzai and the Malala Fund for the past several years, having started the Youth Action Campaign to match kids’ actions with a $100,000 donation to the Malala Fund. Previously, they raised almost $150,000 for the Malala Fund in the Back to School Campaign and in July 2022, they appeared in a webinar with Malala for major donors.
